Italian rebar, merchant bar makers stop sales
Italian rebar producers have stopped sales this week and are preparing a significant January price increase, market participants tell Kallanish.
Today’s contracts remain stable compared to the beginning of the month at €490-500/tonne ($543-565/t) ex-works. Including size extras, domestic values remain at €750-760/t ex-works, but purchases are only happening back-to-back.
