Italian rebar transactions hit €500 despite slow market
All Italian rebar producers are now quoting €500/tonne ($596) base ex-works after some timid and unsuccessful attempts to achieve this level over the past ten days. One rebar maker has increased its prices to €510/ base ex-works.
While transactions are generally lagging behind asking values, some contracts are now at €500/t, but for very small tonnages. The domestic market is seen sluggish by buyers who spoke to Kallanish.
