Italian rebar mills finally hike prices
Italian rebar prices are increasing by €10/tonne ($11.2/t) compared to last week, buyers and agents in Italy tell Kallanish.
Every year towards mid-July rebar prices hike so that customers will pay higher prices in September when the market resumes activity after the August break. This year, however, the move has been surrounded by doubt and uncertainty until last week when producers decidedly refused to sell material at beginning-of-July prices.
