Italian rebar declines again on liquidity issue
Contract prices for Italian rebar are falling again by €5/tonne ($5.6/t) compared to last week, Kallanish learns from market sources. Domestic values have declined steadily by some €5/t every week from the end of the lockdown on 4 May.
The latest contract prices this week have hovered at €110-115/t base ex-works for small volumes such as 1,500t. In the last week of May prices were at €115-120/t base ex-works.
