Italian rebar contracts start climbing
All Italian rebar producers are pushing up their prices by €30-40/tonne ($35-47) compared to last week for new March contracts. This follows last week’s unsuccessful attempts to hike prices by smaller rebar mills.
Some higher domestic transactions seen over recent days, however, have encouraged producers to push up prices unanimously. This is also an attempt to stop the fall seen in February.
