Italian rebar contract prices begin to hike
Italian rebar contract prices are increasing month-on-month by €50/tonne ($56), market participants tell Kallanish.
A few days before the Christmas holiday break, local producers stopped sales and are now quoting at €580-600/t base ex-works. Today’s contracts for low tonnages range between €490-550/t ex-works. Including size extras, domestic values are now at €750-810/t ex-works, sources suggest.
