Italian plate prices erode as market softens
Italy’s domestic plate prices are slowly falling. This is due to very weak final demand, distributors and producers tell Kallanish. Prices are losing €5/tonne ($5.68/t) in transactions compared to the beginning of the month. The market is forecast to continue being difficult in July with prices continuing to decline slowly by a further €5/t in the coming weeks.
