Italian plate prices fall but demand picks up
Italian plate prices have lost €50/tonne ($57.1/t) on average month-on-month in line with falling values for imported slab from the CIS region and Brazil, distribution sources tell Kallanish.
Prices for S275 are on average at €540-545/t base ex-works for an order of around 1,000t while the 355 grade is €20/t higher, sources suggest. Prices for the basic quality plates had reached a high end of the range of €600/t ex-works in October…
