Italian pig iron to soar again
Italian pig iron prices are seen increasing next week to $570/tonne (€473) cfr Italy. Some sources however believe that offers from the CIS region may be pushed up to $575-580/t cfr as new sales to distributors are expected.
The increase is in line with soaring international prices and limited pig iron availability. A Turkish buyer was recently heard to have purchased CIS pig iron at $565/t cfr Turkey.
