Italian pig iron sales activity sustains
An Italian pig iron import deal was concluded this week at $560/tonne cfr from a Russian producer, with delivery in January. Consumption remained strong for material bought by distributors from the CIS to replenish stocks at the Marghera port, the main Italian steel hub.
