Italian pig iron prices increase
Italian pig iron prices are increasing in contracts by some $30/tonne compared to the beginning of January. Demand is said to be lively and limited availability of offers is pushing up prices. Ukrainian producers remain absent in Italy, while Brazilian pig iron offers at $480/t fob Brazil are considered too high.
