Italian pig iron prices flatten amid lull
The pig iron market in Italy continues to be uneventful, with prices flat compared to last week.
Most Italian buyers are waiting for one CIS producer to resume quoting. Some are purchasing small lots from Russia at $560/tonne cfr Italy. Buyers however forecast prices in February will fall to the level of $500-510/t fob Black Sea.
