Italian pig iron prices decline
Italian pig iron import prices are forecast to decrease after the August holiday break when the steel sector resumes activity. The US remains out of the market and Brazil is offering good quality pig iron in the US at approximately $600/tonne cfr Nola, giving Italy a much lower price reference compared to the last Italian-bound sales in July.
