Italian pig iron demand weakens
Italian buyers have remained out of the international pig iron market this month. Kallanish hears from market sources.
Offer prices from the CIS regions to Italian buyers are now at $310/tonne cfr on average. This is considered too high by distributors however, who buy directly from CIS producers to replenish the stocks at ports.
