Italian pig iron demand supports prices
Italian pig iron demand is coming back after a period of relative quiet, as shown by the latest sales of large volumes.
Import prices have now rock-bottomed after decreasing by $100/tonne compared to August and they are not forecast to fall further in September, Kallanish notes.
