Italian non-EU-origin flats imports up 54.4% in Jan-Sep
Italy's steel imports from non-EU countries in January-September continued to grow, Kallanish learns from Italian steel producers’ association Federacciai. These imports increased by 35.2%, or 2 million tonnes, on-year to 7.7 million tonnes.
In the first nine months of the year the volume of flat products imported into Italy increased by 54.4% y-o-y to approximately 4.6mt. Flats thus had a 59.5% share in overall imports. I…
