Italian merchant bar values stay strong
Italian merchant bar prices have lost €20/tonne ($24) compared to January as demand for long products has weakened considerably this month.
Both large and smaller buyers are only purchasing for their immediate needs and very small tonnages, working mainly with their stocks. Sellers confirm that volumes so far this month have decreased compared to January.
