Italian merchant bar prices jump
Italian merchant bar prices have jumped suddenly to €100/tonne ($117) base ex-works from one local producer, Kallanish learns from market participants.
The move is the result of short supply and concentration of merchant bar production in the hands of this producer. The mill is becoming the only company in the country to be able to produce a large product range.
