Italian merchant bar prices flatten
Italian merchant bar prices are stable compared to the beginning of March. Transactions remain at €230-250/tonne ($272-295) base ex-works.
One producer is asking for €260/t but very few contracts have been agreed at this price. Including size extras, merchant bar transactions are currently at €650-670/t ex-works, sources say.
