Italian merchant bar prices fall in stagnating market
Italian long steel market activity continues to stagnate after June brought significantly lower sales volumes compared to last year. Both mill sources and distributors are talking about structurally lower consumption of merchant bar, with prices declining and deals done only back-to-back, Kallanish notes.
