Italian merchant bar mills stop sales, prices increase
Italian merchant bar mills are pushing up prices again this month following the first round of increases already implemented in December, participants tell Kallanish. While some mills are quoting €180/tonne ($220) base ex-works, others have stopped sales and will not be quoting until January, when the sector resumes work after the Christmas holiday break.
