Italian rebar/merchant bar prices stagnate, beams increase
The Italian longs market is generally flat with rebar and merchant bar prices static and only beams and sections’ prices seeing any positive movement.
Italian rebar prices remain unmoving. Average transaction prices are at €220/tonne ($251/t) base ex-works with €230/t achieved only rarely. This sets finished ex-works prices at €480-490/t base ex-works, sources tell Kallanish.
