Italian pig iron import, billet activity remains silent
While some interest is returning among Italian buyers for pig iron, lower availability from traditional CIS suppliers is limiting trade. Buyers have remained absent from the market in October as mills mostly prefer to buy cheaper and more available scrap compared to pig iron, Kallanish hears.
