Italian scrap import prices decrease
Italian scrap import contract prices this month have decreased by €30/tonne ($34) on average compared to last month, in line with the October domestic price decline, Kallanish notes.
Import contracts from France, Germany and Eastern European countries are usually agreed towards the middle of each month. This month, however, Italian mills tried to procure more material in Italy because of the green pass disruptions to deliveries registered from 15 October.
