Italian scrap import prices decline
Italian prices of scrap imports from France, Germany and Eastern Europe are declining by €20-30/tonne ($22-33) this month, in line with lower domestic values.
Italian buyers have purchased high volumes from France and Germany but lower volumes from Eastern Europe. Next month, sources who spoke to Kallanish expect prices to decline again due to the poor performance of finished long products sales.
