Italian HRC prices stagnate on weak demand
Italian hot rolled coil transactions are stable compared to last week but demand has been particularly weak in recent days, buyers and mills tell Kallanish.
Despite short supply, service centres and re-rollers have not been in a purchasing mood and believe they can continue destocking for another week. Italian prices remain at between €480-500/tonne ($564-588) base ex-works, while producers are asking for €490-500/t base ex-works.
