Italian HRC prices seen hiking again
Italian hot rolled coil spot price offers are increasing rapidly. Some steelmakers are mulling further hikes this month, with the level of €1,000/tonne ($1,137) base ex-works expected to be reached in the coming weeks.
Requests for quotes are continuing this week, but demand is still subdued as buyers remain cautious. Steelmakers are now asking for €900-920/t base ex-works, with some mulling €940-950/t base ex-works, sources say.
