Italian HRC activity lowers, prices flatten
Italian hot rolled coil prices are stable compared to last week when a fall of €20/tonne ($23) was reported in new contracts for re-rollers.
Demand remains particularly weak as service centres are adopting a wait-and-see attitude. While values are seen flattening in February and stabilising at current levels, some service centres interviewed by Kallanish see domestic prices slightly decreasing as short supply is slowly easing.
