Italian CRC, HDG struggle in quiet market
Italian cold rolled and hot-dipped galvanized coil prices are stagnating as producers are trying to push up values but the market remains extremely challenging, domestic service centres and producers tell Kallanish.
HDG and CRC transactions have increased €20/tonne ($22/t) from the lowest levels seen last month but demand remains weak and buyers refuse to stock up. Both apparent and real demand are low, sources say.
