Italian crude steel production recovery slows in April
The recovery of crude steel production in Italy slowed down somewhat in April, due to the many holidays observed during the month, Kallanish learns from data published by the local steelmakers' association, Federacciai.
Overall output at Italian mills during the first four months remained 2.5% y-o-y higher than last year at 8.1 million tonnes. In April however the output fell -5.9% year-on-year to 1.97mt.
