Italian crude steel output tumbles again
Crude steel output in Italy fell significantly in September after some signs of recovery the previous month.
According to data issued by local steelmakers association Federacciai, September output was down -18.7% year-on-year to 1.7 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
In the first nine months of the year Italian steelmakers produced 14.5mt of crude steel, down -17.2% y-o-y.
