Italian coil prices flatten
Italian hot rolled coil prices are stable compared to last week after weakening in a market standoff, Kallanish hears.
The majority of domestic spot contracts are on average hovering at €830-840/tonne ($937-948) base ex-works, for relatively small tonnages. Buyers remain in wait-and-see mood and some producers are asking for up to €860-870/t for small quantities, quoting January lead times.
