Italian coil prices see pressure from low-priced imports
Italian coil prices may have bottomed as they have remained steady over the past two weeks and appear to have stopped falling. There is the potential for further turbulence however. Turkish hot rolled coil prices have lost $20/tonne this week on the domestic market. Industry sources who spoke to Kallanish fear that this fall may have repercussions in Italy where Turkish coils are sold.
