Italian coil derivate sales stagnate further, prices low
Prices for welded tube and sheet are continuing to fall in Italy, confirming the downward trend seen since November. Coil derivative prices are dropping more steeply than hot rolled coil prices in the country, Kallanish hears.
The distribution sector is adopting a wait-and-see attitude and only buying back-to-back. End-users are also putting off purchases, particularly of sheet, expecting values to fall further.
