Italian billet prices rise
Italian domestic billet prices are increasing by €15/tonne ($16.7/t) month-on-month in line with rising scrap and long products prices, market participants tell Kallanish.
Local material was sold at €360/tonne delivered on average for small tonnages last month. It is now sold at €375/t delivered. Prices, however, are seen increasing in the coming days as sellers are asking for €385/t delivered, sources suggest.
