Italian billet prices increase except for export
Italian domestic billet prices are increasing by €10/tonne ($11/t) month-on-month in line with increasing offers for long products, market participants tell Kallanish.
Local material is now at €390-395/t delivered or €385-390/t ex-works. Italian billet is also being offered to Northern Africa and other Mediterranean countries at €400/t fob. However, at this price no contract has yet been signed, traders say.
