Italian authorities disregard Cevital promises, begin legal action
The Italian minister for economic development, Carlo Calenda, has confirmed that legal proceedings have begun to dissolve the contract with the Algerian group Cevital over the control of Aferpi, Kallanish understands from sources.
Cevital had said it would restart rolling at the rail mill in December, but this commitment came after the deadline, set by the government to secure investments in the mill and restart production, had passed.
