Italian plate prices show positive movement
Italian plate prices have recovered slightly month-on-month, distribution sources in the country tell Kallanish.
Transaction prices for S275 that were at €540/tonne base ex-works last month are now at €560/t ($645.8/t) on average with producers asking €570/t base ex-works. Grade 355 plate is €20/t higher meanwhile, sources suggest. Imported slab prices have reached $425/t cif Italy or $405/t fob.
