ISD's Dneprovsky works upgrades sintering plant
Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD)’s Dneprovsky steel works (DMK) is drawing up plans to install a new filtering system at its sinter plant, Kallanish learns from the company.
The plant, which will take 2-3 years to construct, is similar in design to the one installed by fellow Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal. This is proven to have reduced dust emissions by -90% and sulphur oxides by 50%, says DMK general director Alexander Podkorytov.
