Isdemir to halt blast furnace for maintenance
Isdemir will halt its blast furnace number no.4 and wire rod rolling mill for maintenance, a source at the Turkish integrated steelmaker tells Kallanish.
“Blast furnace number 4, which had an explosion in December 2019, had maintenance scheduled long ago,” the source observes. “Now we have added maintenance to the wire rod rolling mill as well. Both will start in April. This has nothing to do with current market conditions.”
