ISA seeks government measures to stabilise coal prices
The Indian Steel Association (ISA) has requested the government to intervene to stabilise coking coal prices, Kallanish notes. This comes amid surging prices impacting Indian steelmakers’ production costs, which has only to an extent been alleviated by the cancellation last month of India’s 2.5% coking coal import duty.
