Iron ore drops on lower pig iron output

The seaborne iron ore market fell back on Wednesday, as Chinese steel mills' hot metal output fell and rising inventories weighed on prices. The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and the KORE 65% Fe index lost $1.72/t and $2.09/t respectively to $135.87/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $147.5/dmt cfr.
