Iron ore turns down on bearish sentiment
Seaborne iron ore prices fell sharply on Wednesday afternoon as investors lost confidence in the market.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and KORE 65% Fe index slumped respectively by $3.47/t and $3.38/t to $106.19/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $121.94/dmt cfr. The KORE 58% Fe index, meanwhile, was $3.07/t lower at $93.63/dmt cfr.
On public platforms, 170,000 tonnes of BRBF Fines were booked at $105.9/t with a laycan of 28 August to 6 September, and same amount…
