Iron ore price decline slows
Seaborne iron ore prices eased their declines on Friday, as Chinese steel futures briefly rebounded on that day.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and KORE 65% Fe index lost by $0.48/t and $0.55/t to $93.67/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $108.29/dmt cfr, respectively. The KORE 58% Fe index, meanwhile, was $0.04/t lower at $81.52/dmt cfr. On public platforms, 80,000 tonnes of Mac Fines were sold at $88.2/t with a laycan of 6-15 September.
