Steel, iron ore slide as fundamentals take control
Chinese steel futures prices and seaborne iron ore prices both dropped slightly on Monday as weak fundamentals dominated over short term supports. Weak steel demand was highlighted in concerns over the Chinese economy, while iron suffered the added impact of the approaching production shutdowns in Hebei province from the end of August.
