Iron ore recovers in futures market
Seaborne iron ore prices rose on Wednesday after having fallen for the previous two days. The recovery was based on movements in futures contracts as the physical market remains on holiday in Asia.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index recovered slightly by $0.73/tonne to $89.92/dry metric ton cfr Qingdao. On the Singapore Exchange 62% Fe futures for February rose by $1.63/t to $84.90/t. Chinese exchanges were closed for the Spring Festival period.
