Iron ore rebounds, inventory drops

Seaborne iron ore prices saw a rebound on Tuesday, on falling inventories and credit support for the housing market. The Kallanish KORE 62% and 65% Fe indices rose by $2.28/tonne and $2.47/t respectively on Tuesday to $107.98/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $121.14/dmt cfr. Meanwhile, the KORE 58% Fe index gained $0.89/t to $98.62/dmt cfr. On the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), September iron ore was down by CNY 2.5/t ($0.35/t) to CNY 804/t.…
