Iron ore prices slump

Seaborne iron ore prices turned lower on Thursday, led by policy guidelines released by the State Council of China late Wednesday to reduce carbon emissions in the steel industry. The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and KORE 65% Fe index each slumped by $3.13/t and $3.44/t to $116.11/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $130.29/dmt cfr, respectively.
