Iron ore prices return to decline
Seaborne iron ore prices lowered again on Thursday as demand from steel mills slowed.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index inched $1.76/tonne lower to $102.21/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao. The Kallanish KORE 65% Fe index was $1.69/t lower at $114.77/dmt cfr, and the KORE 58% Fe index was down $2.65/t to $91.78/dmt cfr. 90,000t of Newman fines were sold at $101/dmt for October shipment.
