Iron ore prices dip despite LPR cut
Seaborne iron ore prices dipped on Monday following China's announcement of a smaller-than-expected interest rate cut.
The Kallanish KORE 62% Fe index and KORE 65% Fe index declined respectively by $1.33/t and $1.41/t to $104.24/dry metric tonne cfr Qingdao and $119.98/dmt cfr. The KORE 58% Fe index, meanwhile, was $1.25/t lower at $91.59/dmt cfr. On public platforms, 170,000 tonnes of Carajas Fines were booked at $119.5/t for shipment in August.
